Dorothy Pearl Brown, 67 of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 30, 1949 in Shelby County. She was a loving mother, mamaw and friend to all. and was an active member of Yates Chapel Community Church and had a firm belief in God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reid and Lillian Edlin Dailey and a brother, Ronnie Dailey. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Everett Thomas "Tommy" Brown; three children, Angie (Steve) Casteel, Pam (David) Lair, and James (Jenny) Brown all of Hardin County; two brothers, Leo Dailey and Lester Dailey both of Hardin County; a sister, Mavis Bell of Hardin County; six grandchildren, David "Bubba" Lair, Justin Casteel, Emily Casteel, Kenzie Brown, Maddie Knox and Ethan Knox; three great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Reneer officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Creek Cemetery.
