Vernie Fife Finch, 100 of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Bluegrass Assisted Living. He was a native of Hardin County and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in the Army during WWII and retired from Ft. Knox Civil Service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Perry Finch; two children, Margaret "Susie" Jackson and Perry "Brad" Finch; his parents, Marvin Jackson and Mattie Miller Finch; three brothers, Elbert Finch, Wilbur Oliver Finch and Paul Finch and a sister, Audrey Mitchell. He is survived by four sons, Daniel John Finch and William S. "Billy" Finch both of Seattle, WA, Joel B. Finch of Eastview and Alan Dean Finch of Elizabethtown; 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bishop Joel Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and continue after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home..
