David Lee Logsdon, 74, of Cecilia, died April 2, 2017 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Hardin County, graduated from Rineyville High School, and a member of Cecilia Baptist Church. He worked for Longview moving and storage, Harry Owen Trucking for 10 years, and retired as the owner/operator at Global Van Lines. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Logsdon and Anna Mae Irwin Logsdon Dever; brother, Galen Logsdon; step father, Kenneth Dever; step brother, Gary Dever; aunt, Mary Bennett; uncle, Cecil Irwin; brother-in-law, Charles Savey; and mother-in-law, Doris Savey. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Valerie Savey Logsdon of Cecilia; two sons, Michael (Donna) Logsdon of Vine Grove and Eric Wood of Harrison, OH; a daughter, Lisa (Joe) Simoneit of Cecilia; step brother, Bobby (Fonda) Dever of Elizabethtown; brother-in-law, Mike (Sandy) Savey of Grain City, KY; aunt, Delores Perry of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, David and Joey Simoneit; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The funeral is Thursday at 10 a.m. at Cecilia Baptist Church with Rev. Troy Richards officiating. Burial follows at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. The visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home and continues after 9 a.m. at the church on Thursday.
