Jay Hartman, 85, died February 28, 2017, at his home in Elizabethtown. He was a nurse and retired Colonel in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Elvis and Mary Ellen Wirth Hartman; and a sister, Alice Corrie. He is survived by a sister, Betty Taylor of Plainfield, IN; several nieces and nephews; and long time friend, Albert Soha of Elizabethtown. The funeral will be Monday, March 6th, at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial follows at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mount Carmel, IL.
