Phinus Stanley Brewer, 84 formerly of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Assisted Living in Columbia, TN. He was the owner of three businesses, T Mart Warehouse Grocery, American National Insurance Company and Lincoln Trail Hotel all in Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Jane Brewer; a sister, Marjorie Hornback; a brother, John Ross Brewer; his mother, Flora Phillips; his step father, Millard Phillips. He is survived by his adopted daughter, Janice Garland (Newton) of Athans, AL and two adopted step sons, Eric Ballard of Scottsville, KY and Kenny Sallee of Elizabethtown; one half brother, Kenneth Phillips of Elizabethtown; one niece, Pamela Casanova of Elizabethtown and three nephews, Steven Dile, Gregory Hodge and David Dile all of Elizabethtown and many other extended family members. The funeral will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Dr. Glenn Chasteen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN.
