Virginia Knight

Virginia Marnell Knight, 69 of Elizabethtown, KY died and joined her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 25, 2016 while in hospice care at Norton Healthcare Pavilion in Louisville, KY. She knew this body was only temporary and a better home awaited. She was born November 26, 1946 in Bentonville, AR to Wilbur "Jack" Fisher and Norma Lee Fisher (both deceased). She has a brother, Michael Fisher. Marnell was married to Garry Russell Knight for 49 1/2 years. They have one son, Royce (Jennifer) Knight of West Milford, NJ; a daughter, Kari Hay of Louisville, KY; and six grandchildren: Carter, Skylar, Riley, and Mason Knight; Luke and Caroline Hay. Marnell loved her Savior and Lord, her family, and friends -- including many from her church and Bible studies. Among her many talents and interests were quilting and card-making. She was a dedicated teacher of 35 years --both classroom and private instruction. She owned Radcliff Reading Clinic for 27 years and taught there until retiring in 2010. Marnell was passionate about the gospel of Christ being presented to a broken world and would greatly appreciate any tokens of love be given to the expansion of the ministries at Severns Valley Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, KY. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Severns Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Langley officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
