Carl Leo Perkins, 78 of Elizabethtown, died Friday, April 29, 2016 at his home. He was a native of Glennings, KY and was a Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Lona Martin Perkins and a brother, Kenneth Perkins. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Vertrees Perkins; one son, Troy (Leslie) Perkins of North Carolina; one step-son, Matthew (Kelly) McDonald of Oldham County; three brothers, Don Perkins and Robert Perkins both of Louisville and Larry Perkins of Elizabethtown; three sisters, Martha Jane Durall of Louisville, Delores Elmore of Summersville and Christine Whitlock of Hodgenville and four grandchildren, Piper McDonald, Lydia Perkins, Grant Perkins and Thane McDonald and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Monday at 7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Arnold Moon officiating. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. and continue until time for the service.
