Betty Lee Moore, 86, of Elizabethtown, KY departed this life on Wednesday, February 4, 2016. She was born to the late Kelly and Laley New of Jackson, KY on June 17, 1929 and married James Moore on June 12, 1948. Betty was a graduate of Lees Junior College. She was an avid U of L Cardinal fan. She was also a Kentucky Colonel and member of Hardin Unit 113 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Her family was her pride and joy. Betty is preceded in death by her husband as well as her sister Liz Noble and great grandson Chaz Durbin. She is survived by a sister Zetta Wells of Louisville, KY, her daughters Jackie (Randall) Cote and Jennifer (Edward) Fulkerson of Elizabethtown, KY, her granddaughters Cassie (Casey) Powell of Milton, FL and Courtney (Kenny) Wilkerson of Lexington, KY, and her great grandchildren, PFC Caymon Durbin, Christa Durbin, Brett Powell, and Ross, Molly and Calvin Wilkerson. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 12:00 – 3:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, KY. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home. Burial services will immediately follow at Hardin Memorial Park in Elizabethtown, KY.
