Lucille Florence, 90 of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully Monday, February 1, 2016, at her residence. She was born October 4, 1925 in Marion County, and lived for many years in Jefferson County. She lived her latter years in Larue County and Hardin County. She was known for her kindness, unconditional love, and especially for her fabulous cooking. She was a Sabbath Keeping Christian. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gayle M. Florence; three siblings, John Albert Battcher, Jr., Sophia Mae Thompson and George William Battcher and a grandson, Michael Kevin Florence. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, George W. Florence; one son, Joseph I. (Betty) Bohannon of Floyds Knobs, IN; three daughters, Karen Beauchamp and Kim (Tim) Warren all of Hodgenville and Lisa (Dwayne) Bracken of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Howard Battcher of Louisville and Joe Henry Battcher of Clermont; two sisters, Sue Ann Mattingly of Boston and Carolyn Morgan of Bardstown; and six grandchildren, James K. Florence, Jr., Bryan K. Florence, Christopher W. Bracken, Corey E. Bracken, Kasey M. Gardner and Tara E. Warren.
