Edward (Eddie) Lynn Smallwood, 68, of Cecilia, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015 at his home. He was a native of Hardin County and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, where he was stationed in Vicenza, Italy and when on leave, he fell in love with Lenggries, Germany. He retired from Hardin County Water District # 1. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edward and Edna Tucker Smallwood. He is survived by two children, Amber Smallwood (Tommy Grav) of Bloomington, IN and Brandon Smallwood (Emily Peck) of New Albany, IN; one grandson, Gavin McCord; siblings, Randy Klinglesmith, Greg Smallwood and Tim Smallwood all of Cecilia, Bill Smallwood and Tammy (Scott) Taylor all of Elizabethtown and Cathy (Jerry) Ritter of Radcliff; several nieces and nephews, many other loved ones and his friend and caregiver, Theresa Burse. At his request, there will be no funeral service. A memorial will be planned at a later date.
