Vernell Wilson Main, 93, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, October 29 at her residence. She was born July 17, 1922 at Horse Branch in Ohio County. Vernell was a member of Memorial Methodist Church, a retired Civil Service Secretary, a 1939 graduate of Louisville Girls High School, and a member of LGHS Alumni Club. Although she lived in several other states, Kentucky was always home. She was preceded in death by her husbands; Arnold Rennie, in 1985 and Herman Main, in 2002, her parents; Mona J. Park and Herbert Daniel Wilson , a sister, Jo Etta Rhodes. Survivors include her son; Dan (Carolyn) Rennie of Oklahoma City, four cousins; Billie Jean Clayton of Etown, Wilma Moberly, Frances Raggard and Fred Goff all of Louisville, three nephews; Rick, David and Alex Rhodes. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:00pm at Brown Funeral Home. Burial is at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Saturday 3:00-7:00pm and Sunday 12:00-2:00pm at the funeral home.
