Raymond Charles Murray, 84, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was a native of Louisville, a business man, Carpenter, Printer, Veteran, Global Peace Activist, Bluegrass/Country Musician, and Santa Clause at the Towne Mall and Conservationist. He studied Theology in college. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond John Murray; mother, Thelma Garr Murray; sister, Wanda Elizabeth; daughter, Linda Christine; and one grandson, Nicholas. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Sharon Schoenbaechler Murray of Elizabethtown; brother, John (Mary Linda) Murray; eight children, Sandra (Johnny) Murray Yeager, Trina (Val) Murray Brinkerhoff, Lisa Murray, Julia (Dick) Murray Catone, Laura (Brian) Buckley Idarola, Lisa (Gary) Buckley Ragland, Joseph (Doreasha) Buckley, Brenna (John) McGuire Gibson; 24 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
