Condolences - Jacob McGhee Russell

I had the privilege of serving with Jacob as an intern at First Baptist Tifton. We shared an office. It was a true blessing. Jacob was always ministering and always kept things light! His smile and laugh filled the room. I will be praying for all of you in the days to come!

Jacob was the brightest star in our world! He brought such joy to me and anyone else that he came in contact with. I loved him with all my heart and have been forever blessed by his presence in my life. He made me laugh more than anyone ever! His example of Christ likeness was one to be admired and followed. Soar high my DB! (Our Secret). My prayers to his family. I know how much you will miss him! Love you all and will be praying for you! Jan

I am so sorry for your loss of such a wonderful young man. I knew J-Russ from his time at First Baptist in Tifton, Ga, where I was an adult youth volunteer. Even after he went to 2nd Baptist, he attended many events with us. He was always happy! He always had a smile on his face! What a wonderful servant of our Lord!

Jacob was a special man we loved him dearly and hated when he left us but we understood it was his calling. We will always have the sweet memories to hold in our hearts. We shared a lot of laughs and tears together but mostly love and laughs. He was always up for playing tricks on Mr RANDY like moving the car in the Walmart parking lot or turning off the electricity to someone’s house. He also was a good sport when we had his car towed one night. Oh how we will miss those laughs and he gave the best hugs. We will always be thankful for his influence on our kids and family. So sorry for your loss and thank you for sharing him with us our prayers are with you during this time

Cindy, Nancy and family - we are so very sorry to hear of Jacob's death, and equally sorry that we did not have a chance to meet him. His obituary gives us a wonderful glimpse of the shining spirit he was and is in heaven. Maybe Earl, Malcolm and Paul/Dad are giving him the heavenly tour as I write. We're thinking of you. Hugs and love, Tammy.

JACOB WAS A FINE YOUNG MAN. WE REMEMBER HIS POSITIVE INTERACTION WITH THE EHS FOOTBALL PARENTS IN THE EARLY 2000'S. PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL THAT LOVED HIM.

Ray, I didn’t realize until last night Jacob was your precious son. He was a true servant of God. My heart hurts for you and your loss. I’m praying for comfort and peace for you and the rest of the family. Also for our VCBC family. This was so hard to believe Sunday morning when I got to band practice. I’m still like many am numb. But I do believe in heaven and I know Jacob is there. Love you
