| Annie Reid Rhea, 78 of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Kensington Manor Nursing Home.
She was a native of Simpson County, an active member of Severns Valley Baptist Church, and a member of NARFE.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Boyd Rhea; her parents, Harry and Isabel Byrum Kirby; and one brother, Ollie "Spudie" Kirby.
She is survived by five brothers, Donald Kirby of Woodburn, KY, Bruce Kirby of Savannah, GA, Lindsey Kirby of New Richmond, OH, Brent Kirby and Louis Kirby both of Franklin, KY; a special niece, Belinda Cotter of Taylorsville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 am CST Thursday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home with Roger McCurry officiating. Burial to follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Simpson County.
Local Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, and 2 to 8 pm CST Wednesday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home in Franklin, KY.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
