William Earl Miller
William Earl Miller, 87 of Elizabethtown, formerly of Louisville, passed away Friday, February, 19, 2010 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. A native of Breckinridge County, he was a member of Valley Station Baptist Church. He served in the Army and then retired from the Air Force in 1966. He served during World War II and the Korean War. After his retirement, he worked for GTE for six years and sold real estate. His passion was woodworking, carving and he obtained his 5th degree Black Belt at the age of 72. He was a member of the World Karate. He was preceded in death by his parents, W. H. and Lula Miller; two wives, Maurine "Boots" Lee Miller and Barbara Miller; three brothers, Walter Miller, Marvin Miller and Stanley T. Miller and a great nephew, Jeff Thomas. He is survived by his two nieces, Linda Miller (Nicky) Thomas of Elizabethtown and Shirley Miller (Bill) Beers of Maryland; a great nephew, Joe Thomas of Elizabethtown and a great niece, Linda Ramos of Maryland. Graveside services with full military honors will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Cloverport Cemetery with Rev. Arnold Moon officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and continue after 9 a.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
